Lincoln’s Inn Fields was first laid out in the 1630’s under the initiative of speculative builder, William Newton, and is the largest public square in London. Numbers 1-2 Lincoln’s Inn Fields were built some time thereafter with numbers 1 through to 12 being complete by 1657. These were substantially rebuilt in C18th, and around 1820 numbers1 and 2 were joined with the staircase from number 2 being removed, and that of number 1 being partially moved to be between both houses and entered by one entrance in the centre of the two houses. The Sir John Soane museum is but a few doors away.

Numbers 1 and 2 comprise approximately 14,131 sq ft (1,313 sq m) and have been the subject of a full renovation by David Chipperfield Architects.

This is a very rare opportunity to live in one of the most historic locations in central London in a substantial private home. With the luxury of so much space, there are ample bedroom suites and intercommunicating reception rooms to be able to occupy the house in some considerable style.

1-2 Lincoln’s inn fields is run on a central BMS system alongside a Crestron system. This can be accessed from your phone, tablet or tablets installed around the property allowing control of the entertainment, security, heating, cooling and lighting systems with one touch.
